Olive Green Handleless Kitchen in Solihull
The brief for this Solihull kitchen was to create a more refined, aesthetically pleasing space while reducing visual clutter and enhancing a sense of openness.
The Before
While the existing kitchen layout worked well for the space, the room felt dated. White cabinetry paired with dark worktops and floor tiles created a heavier appearance, making the compact footprint feel smaller than it was.
For this project, the focus was on refreshing the design, improving the sense of space and introducing a more contemporary aesthetic that would stand the test of time.
What We Did…

Handleless olive green cabinetry was chosen to bring warmth, character and a more contemporary appearance to the space. The J-pull design creates uninterrupted lines across the furniture, resulting in a cleaner, more seamless aesthetic that immediately reduces visual clutter.
The cabinetry was paired with Silestone Desert Silver worktops from Cosentino. The subtle tones and matte finish complement the olive green furniture beautifully while helping to soften reflections and glare throughout the room.
The addition of Otto wall tiles introduced personality and individuality, with the Starry Night Dirty White splashback complemented by a striking Starry Night Navy Blue feature behind the hob. Meanwhile, Vogue Porcelain Quartzstone Grey floor tiles provide a durable foundation for the space, balancing the lighter surfaces above.

A key part of the brief was to create the illusion of more space. Replacing the traditional dining table with a breakfast bar allowed for improved circulation and freed up valuable floor space, making the kitchen feel more open without altering its footprint.

To create this space, Central KBB oversaw all aspects, from initial design through to final installation. This included structural adjustments, electrical works, plastering, and the full bathroom fit-out.

The completed kitchen is a stylish and highly functional space that feels noticeably brighter, calmer and more open. The combination of olive green handleless cabinetry, soft matt surfaces and feature tiling creates a kitchen with a distinct identity. At the same time, the streamlined design delivers the clean, clutter-free environment the homeowners originally envisioned.
